A little over a year ago the idea was brought forth to have an ATV site dedicated to the adult community who are not necessarily racers, but ATV enthusiasts. This site is designed with the purpose to bring quality photos, top notch video content, and relevant news to the ATV community. We are a small, but well organized group who welcome anyone with something to add to our rapidly growing member base.
As a site, we run group rides, meet at National and local events, and share tech information. The Quadbuilder strives to provide a family-oriented community. When one of our own was injured racing, our members raised $1000 running a concession stand at an AGP event. The site has brought together like-minded individuals who want to further enjoy the ATV experience without all the excess baggage.
Our gallery includes over 7,000 images displaying everything from a weekend riding excursion to members personal builds to National and local race photos from the GNCC and WPSA and PA series. Our video content is produced with entertainment in mind. In the future we will be adding more videos directed to inform our members with interviews and how-to's. Our boards include several top riders who will give you insight into their training and ATV preparation.
Come on in, check us out and feel free to stay around. |

On Sunday October 12th, the day started just like any other race day does with my wife and son right by my side and waking up to the sweet sound of the mini's revving their engines. The PA

state series is getting close to winding up its long series for 2008. Most of the points chases were heating up. Also, today was the final round of the Triple Crown series. This is a 3 race series within the PA state series where if you win all 3 races you get alot of cool goodies at the banquet. I know of several racers who were in the running for the Triple Crown such as Jason Hughes and Chuck Godshall. The series has taken some steps to make it better for the ATV crowd at several races this year with extended race times. This round would be no different as the race would cover 2hrs and 15 mins for the A class, Vet Class, and Senior class. Making the running time more on par with a national event.
My season racing in the Vet class has been a mostly down year with a couple bright spots. I know I could do better, but a lack of time makes training and working out almost non exsistent. That usually is a big downfall in this class as all of the racers are extremely fast and talented. As we lined up, I noticed my class would be 9 racers and the turnout overall was pretty decent. The weather was even cooperating with rather warm temps and the sun beating down. The cool part at this race was the addition of the Polaris RZR at the starting line. With the help of Polaris Industries and Bromley's, the Quadbuilder will be providing a PA system, as well as the national anthem, at the starting line of every PA State Race next year along with a bunch of other events.
Now onto the race. With the wave of a flag the race started. My quad didn't start as fast as I would have liked, but I got off and running fairly quickly and made the left hand sweeper down the hill towards the back of the pack. At the bottom of the hill there was a small tangle between a couple riders allowing me to slip into the middle of the pack. I definitely wanted to stay there and run a consistent pace as I knew running for 2hr 15mins would be a challenge and I didn't want to wear out too fast. |

After a year of racing, we were all eager to go back to the best track on the Atlantic Grand Prix

Circuit. Most of us knew that it was the sixth annual race at the location, but for me it was only my second time at the Sahara Sands location and I was hoping for it to be just as good, if not better than it was last year. The conditions on race day were optimal with temperatures in the upper fifties and clear sky. This track covers all of the basics of harescramble racing and then more. The soil in New Jersey is notorious in becoming whooped out fairly quickly, but there was a minimal amount of whoops. Dale did a great job at adding a small mx track to the mix, which was a great break to fool around after exiting the long trails. After waiting for the ATV race to start, we were told that the overall leaders were expected to complete about 3 laps in the hour and half time limit. The next thing that I knew, Dale was standing at the end of the start area and the race was about to begin.

After probably the busiest season of my racing career wound down, it was

time to make the trip west to St. Clairsville Ohio for the 12th round of the GNCC Series at Powerline Park. I arrived at ECOR29s house to load his gear up and head out. Unfortunately, I arrived to his quad on a jack and the lower RF A arm off. He had planned on a quick bushing change earlier in the morning but it didn't go that easy. After about an hour his YFZ was ready to roll, so we loaded up the Comanche and headed for the Turnpike. The 3.5 hour trip went smoothly and we arrived at the Powerline Park Offroad Facility. Camp was constucted and the typical Friday activities were going on around the property. I got registration and Tech out of the way. Now all my mind was focused on was the race. With me being in a heated battle for the 10th spot in points, I was putting some pressure on myself to perform at my best. I called it a night about 11:30pm and tried to get some sleep for the day ahead. |

With the Pa Series getting close to wrapping up for another year we made the trek to Rausch Creek for the final race there this year. The Race would be located on the famous riding park and would run almost 8 miles of some of the gnarliest terrain. They would be running a 2hr race making it more difficult on the riders. The staff at Rausch spent alot of time adding new sections to the course to make it more interesting and unique from any event they have run in the past. The course included all of the MX track making riders use all of their skills and making Quad preperation a premium.
Our day started out interesting as I had to work early in the day and with the help of Racerx32 and Tommygunn we were going to try and make the over 2hr trek and race. As we were in the truck on our way up we recieved some assistance from Joe Papa getting us signed in earlier. When we arrived at the track we quickly signed up and got into our gear just barely making the starting line. |
